Claire Anderson, Costume Designer
Claire Anderson’s designs have featured in some of Britain’s best known film and television productions for more than two decades. Her portfolio of television work includes the BAFTA nominated Black Mirror – Hang the DJ, the critically acclaimed The Witness for the Prosecution starring Toby Jones and Kim Cattrall, and the award winning State of Play and Criminal Justice. After completing a degree in fashion and textiles, Claire pursued a freelance career in printed textile design for fashion houses including Dior & Yves Saint Laurent. Her love of colour and design, and its impact on dress in the context of society was developed further at Post Graduate level at Central Saint Martins where she studied design theory with a particular focus on the semiotics of costume. A passion for in-depth research combined with a fascination for storytelling through costume, has seen Claire’s influence span period productions, contemporary drama and fantasy. Claire was nominated for an Emmy for her work on Good Omens, the Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's novel adapted for television by Amazon and BBC studios. Visit Claire's IMDB page |
